OG DREZ!!!!!! you in town? im never quite sure but shiggie now has a ranflas. ok, its a honda but to my people thats top of the food chain.
anyways...
so a friend of mines has been posting my mixes to his podcast thingie. anyways, theres this one dude who liked it and started emailing me. its always awesome when i get to talk to real oldies fans cuz theyre totally music nerds but not some pilfering basement music nerds. nope, an entirely different variety that received the bulk of their music collection from family members. like hierlooms. and theyre much more connected to their music than most folks try to be. like, whereas most record nerds talk about the history of a record and where it was made and who sat in on the session blahblahblah, oldies nerds tend to talk about a record as it relates to a specific event in their lives, like "oooh my uncle always dropped this at the bbq" type shtuff.
anyways, this is a copy of a copy of a cassette tape of a mix that dude and his homies would always play. you can hear the tape wobble. he doesnt remember the names of the songs, but rest assured he remembers each and every song. i forgot i had it sitting in my itunes for a while now. awesome dude, that guy.

dude, i just dropped him a line telling him what you said and he hits me back telling me he's headed to mexico to pick up his uncle's and his mom's oldies collection and to be prepared for some hotness.
