Passed up on an overpriced UK-Folk collection and noticed he had some Canadian SSW. $10 each. Bo! Moonstone is OG. Tim Buckely is a UK pressing from 71. Valery Btesh is one of the best female soft-rock albums I've heard. Tangerine absolutely kills.

whats the curtis fuller all about? im not familiar with that dude.

  • the curtis fuller

legenday trombonist who played on a bunch of strata east sessions, this album is his best and one the best on mainstream. its pretty much "free funk". electronic drum solo w/echo, rhodes, psychy guitar...this is a must have but should be able to find it for about 15 bucks tops. also, i think its the debut session for stan clarke who plays his ass off but is not flashy.

Some scores for me! I've been finding a good deal of stuff to pass along to others
aka flip but times have been tough on the reggae tip.
    Until Tuesday!

    Killer compilation!
The Twin Sisters track is insane...

Classic Yellowman, with amazing cover artwork from Jamaal Pete.

  • Over the last week:

    SONIC

  • Good catch on that Lou Johnson LP. I would have to say it's his best album.

Spent a few days down in NYC and stopped at all the regular spots and pulled these (except the Majestics, which was a cheap ebay find).

Big thanks to Paycheck for The New Haven Woman's Liberation Rock Band LP which I've been trying to find for awhile.

That Hard Luck Soul is awesome, congrats! "Illas" on that Chico Freeman LP is nice, too.

Found this yesterday, an excellent jazz LP from Trinidad, 1975. Never seen it or heard of it before.

It wasn't quite mint and the cover has some damage from where someone removed a sticker, therefore $75

Our prices are extremely reasonable, more now than ever. I visit a lot of stores and will often see they have a record priced $15 that we have for $25 for example but when I look at the condition of it I know I wouldn't put more than $6 on their copy.

We just priced down a lot of jazz to make room for 3000 new jazz bits, bargains to be had.
