that rubbin' alkyhol i jus cleaned my copy of Boscoe with ain't gonna do no harm to nuthin' just b-cuz the expiration date passed.

Well, as this is Phill[/b] Most, I have no idea if
you are just messing with me - and I assume you are - but
still, rubbing alcohol has additives in it that are not in
regular isopropyl alcohol and that can damage records, namely
a solvent (acetane? I can't remember) that is very damaging
to plastics.
naw, in all seriousness... this stuff with the expired date IS rubbing alcohol, but it's isopropyl rubbing alcohol... 70% alcohol, 30% water. No acetane, no ethyl, etc. So I think my raers are okay. My only fear is that BE DAMNED EXPIRATION DATE which may lead to the demise of my immensely valuable collection of rock breaks
