HOW THE HELL DID KOBE MAKE THE ALL DEFENSIVE 1ST TEAM?

Everyone was paying attention to his offense (including myself). He can play D, VERY good D. You rarely see dudes pour 20 or 30 on him. He is not a defensive specialist, but he does not give up easy buckets.

Besides, what other notable guards play D?

This is really a testament as to how much of the load he's carrying.

    Im not feelin your answer.

Im not comparing him to any other guards. Im lookin at his individual D.

He's on the same team as Bruce Bowen? If Artest was coherent maybe Bowen would get moved to that slot.

But WTF. Playing above average D isnt the same as The Glove/Rodman/Artest/Jabbar/Eaton/Jordan D.

He plays good D, I've watched enough Laker games.

Once again, who in the league plays D?

I can name maybe Gerald Wallace and Shane Battier at his position....Artest was mediocre this season all-around.

Kobe's defense is not spectacular. Sure he can get the spectacular left-handed transition block on a fool, but defense is much more than that. The numbers probably will not lie in this case.

Spectacular as in "My primary role is to shoot the open three and play D" or "Block Party" or "my flop game is tight". His D is not spectacular in that sense, he just plays some fundamentally-sound D that goes unnoticed (apparently not by insiders though). Let's not base our opinions on impressions, yaoming?

If there was a west los angeles playground all-defensive team, I would get an honorary mention.

No I don't flop, but I will most likely lock you down and WORK YOU. Best believe. Come to Veteran Park or Mar Vista Park and you will straight get up worked and sonned to the max.

Judging by all the time you spend on the strut and not in the gym, I think your bark is probably louder than your bite.

So when we getting an All-Soulstrut Nerdfest Charity Game going?

You obviously don't touch balls on the regular. Or throw strong chest passes. Or go Backdoor.

I stand corrected on my initial assertation that you couldn't get any more ayo than you had already done. See, the key is being more subtle about it... then it's funny.

Definition: an assertion, statement of opinion
Example: We were bewildered at his assertation that the economy is thriving.

OKAY, NOW YOU'RE TAKING IT OVERBOARD. SHEED IS BASICALLY A LOSER WITH A DREAM. IF HE WERE NOT ON THE PISTONS, HE WOULD BASICALLY BE TIM THOMAS WITH AN ANGER MANAGEMENT PROBLEM.
