WOW.I really slept on these dudes for most of my life. it was my parent's music. but last year i let the David crosby album totally melt my mind. havent looked back since. I've been listening to the early csn sometimes y albums and damn is it really good music. The first two group albums, the live joint, and the first batch of solo records in 70/71.but im sure a lot of you are already aware of the magic.carry on.

At the Eugene record show I was set up across from the dvd boot guy. I was dreading poorly filmed and recorded Metalic concerts. He played CSNY's "last" concert before they broke up. About 2 hours long. Better than I thought it would be. Stephen Stills ego was so big it was hard to see how there was room left over for the other 3. The songs, the harmonys, the guitars were all great.

I grew up with that stuff and don't need to listen to any more for another year.

    I know.
It's really quite pathetic. I just always thought of it as hippy folk harmony drivel. Wait....
But seriously, I am a late bloomer to the csny. i focused more on the zeppelins and floyds and sabbaths. well i am now fully awake, and my eyes open more evryday to the things i missed (or ignored)

I saw an interview with DMC a couple years ago and he was going on about CSNY, and how he was just learning about them. It's never too late to discover a band. I've always been into them. They have some great drummer(s) as well. I was listening to Deja Vu the other day and when 'Hepless' came on my girlfriend said "hey this is a Mazzy Star song". I just laughed...........
