dang! Yeah thanks for the info...has it warmed up there at all? Tuesday was the coldest weather I have ever experienced...the wind chill was like 25 below zero, my thin southern blood was not at all prepared for that shit. But we had a nice time, the aqaurium was bad ass and the food was killer...breakfast at Soriellas, seafood at Atlantic Fish on Boylston...great city!

That was definitely the coldest day this winter - it's actually been pretty mild this year, no massive snowstorms, lots of 50+ degree days. Glad you had a good time, people hat on Beantown but it's not a bad place to spend a couple of days. If you went to Sorella's you were like 2 blocks from my crib - if you come back, we'll have to meet up.

i got more soul and jazz 45s as well that were apparently from the collection of a guy who was a broadway tap dancer and television actor. he also played in a few blaxploitation movies. he was friends with a session musician whose name escapes me right now--but i scored promo copied rare soul 45s--plus autographed stuff as well that came from his friend addressed to him. i'll take pics later-- for now...
the impressions 'three the hard way' soundtrack is a minty lp--but too bad the cover is screwed up. anyone got an extra or a cover lying around?
talking heads 'more songs about buildings and food' lp test press. also, universal robot band lp that i didn't have. it was just in a generic 12" sleeve, but whatever--it in pretty decent shape. carike from south africa--i was hoping for more, but she is pretty standard pop and folk-country style. there is also a real awesome post-punk synth/diy gem in there from Forward Music Quintet--it was self-released from them in 1981. they were Greek. real excited about that one.
gospel-funk/soul lp from rev. thomas l. walker and the tlw ensemble. it's pretty nice! also another obscure post-punk record from the uk -- a couple of decent tunes, but kind of meh otherwise. some hip-hop 12s-- t-ski valley's 'sexual rapping' og. among others.
the prisonaires on sun 78 rpm. it's a bit tattered, but i couldn't pass. it was in a box of 78s marked 'free'--how awesome is that?

Very obscure brazilian group that mix funk and african music (not afrobeat/afrofunk, though). Lots of percussion, flute, crazy vocals, and effects.
