    My Canada includes Quebec.











    And obviously Birchmount (a street in Scarborough), Paragon, Sound Canada, Hlaf Moon, Summer Records, Jam Cam, Tropical, Cobra, London, Transworld...and a billion other labels I could boringly rhyme off for hours.

    Boola Boola, Brown Door, Stone Flower, Bay Town, Loadstone, Music City, et al are obvious choices for the Bay Area, but I think WEE reflects the diversity of the Bay best; despite a relatively small catalog, Lonnie Hewitt produced latin, soul, psych (mad river!), jazz, and funk releases all on one weird little label.

    I'm in the same city - for me it's Curtom (Curtis Mayfield owned it - say no more) and Chess (for covering all the bases; soul, blues, jazz and gospel).
