boss getting fired

I have worked alot of places, but I dont think I have even seen one of my bosses get fired. Once I was at a different property (I work in hotels) and my old boss got demoted, they basically pushed him out. Now the hotel I work in, the general manager was told by her boss that if she has to turn around her survey scores by the middle of the month, a survey is emailed to every guest that stays with us, its a marriott property so they take that shit real serious. We have to have a satisfaction score in the 80s to be ok, we have been in the high 70s, but just hard to get over the hump. I know all this because Im second in command, I dont really have to worry to much about my job because I have only been there about 6 months. She has been there over a year and a half and has yet to make a real difference.But damn, shit is really weird. I know how she feels, I have been in that position. Another employee told me the boss broke down in front of her, sobbing and shit. I feel bad, but at the same time, she is really not the best person for that property. Anyone seen there boss get fired, or at least have there job threatened?

    YES I worked in a machine shop right after college because the job market was in the toilet and I needed money. My boss there was the most awful human being I've ever encountered, he would constantly fuck up and just SCREAM at other employees for it. And he knew which dudes had child support to pay, etc, basically who he could push around. He was always cool to me because he knew I'd walk out without a second thought, but still he treated some of my coworkers like absolute SHIT. The place was owned by one of his friends so he could get away with it, but we did work exclusively for this bigger corporation, and the people at that company could see through the bullshit and just hated this dude. So one day they bought the owner out and dude was gone the next day. It was one of the best days of my life. Fuck you John, wherever you are.

    Back in the dot-com days of the turn of the century (back when my SS post count was also a solid four figures, definite casue-effect there), I saw many bosses get fired. Meanwhile, my eBay record habit was at all-time high, and my Galaga skills were on point. They should've fired me. Well, eventually they did.

    I went to work for a guy that owned a Mercury marine dealership. The guy couldnt pay much, but I needed money and it was walking distance from my house.

    My job was to man the parts counter, and get the stock room and ALL its contense into numeric order by part number.

    Ok heres the thing, this guy had a huge fire at his old place, so all this shit was full of soot and dirt, mixed parts in boxes whole snowmobile engines, and a shitload of gaskets and rebuild kits, fuckin outboard motor parts from 1950 and shit.

    Well, it was a job. So days go by and parts are getting back on the shelves as he wants, and thru conversation, I find out this guy had a major fire as I said earlier , but he didnt have insurance.....I about shit when he said he owes like 3 million dollars in products that got burned, boats, motors, all his shop equipment.

    To make matters worse, his book keeper, that was in charge of making the payments, embezeled like 375,000 dollars from him and thats why he had no insurance, and he suspects his book keeper had something to do with the fire.

    Ok now befor you go getting all mushie about this guys plight, lets take a look into a regular day with this ASSHOLE.

    Most days, the first words out of his hole are something like this "Fuck that C#nt, fucking vaginal dischage waste of skin", and thats on a good day.

    A little while later we can hear him calling around to local and out of state junk boat dealers, looking for parts he can have his Rat Boy head tech sand blast and repaint to be sold as new.

    Several times during the day a customer will pop in. They ask him for a part, he knows he dosnt have the part, but the tells the customer he can get one in a week, they say cool and pay him, and assume they will have the part in a week.

    But what they dont know, is he lost all his parts suppliers after he didnt pay for the 1.2 million dollars in parts he SAID burned in the fire, but in fact I was sorting thru them in the stock room.

    So those people get really pissed after 2 weeks or so , and he buys the part off a buddy that runs another shop.


    Anyhow, after 6 months of sifting thru burn crap and coughing up chunks of charcoal. im all done with the stock romm and EVERYTHING has been sorted out and is in order, I did a rough count form a master list...I placed over 100,000 parts on numeric order, and after all the OUTLANDISH shit I heard and saw, and kept to myself, this ASSHOLE fired me, because he couldnt pay me anymore.

    I found out about a month ago thru a family friend, this guy got royaly ass fucked by the AFT, IRS all in one day.

    Turns out he was a small time gun dealer, and hadent paid taxes in 8 years.

    I was glad to see he got what was comming to that puke.

    After about six months with the company I am with now I got promoted to a different department. Its was me and one other person and the COO was my immediate supervisor. I had heard that she was really hard to work with and could be a real bitch but my first two weeks she was away at a conference and busy with other things so I never really got trained by her or got to know what she was like to work with. Anyway, one day I went to the bathroom and when I got back no one was in the office except the COO in her office with the door shut. The owners of my company???s wife asked me to go to the conference room. Everyone else was in there. Anyway the owner comes in and tells us the COO is fired. Nepotism was huge at my company so half the people in the room were either related or close friends with the COO. People were really shook. They had us sit there for an hour while she cleaned out her office. After she left I had about 8 months with no direct supervisor and very little work to do. Thank god I found soul strut. After awhile my boss remembered my department existed and was happy that we were taking care of things. Now I am vice president.

    I found out later that basically the COO got a big head and thought she could talk shit to the owner. Really really bad move on her part. If there is one thing I have learned over the years its don???t fuck with the dude whose signature is on your check.

    woman who hired me, and I really liked a lot - she was a great manager, smart, friendly, organized - it turned out she lied about graduating college on her resume and some guy that had a long running feud with her, because he was fat, lazy and insubordinate, snitched her out after like 15 years with the company they let her go.

    Two times my boss got fired.

    Factory job during college break: Boss got axed for boozing at lunch one too many times.

    Newspaper after college: Publisher sent to Canada for fudging circulation numbers.

    It was a little excessive. But the guy had previously plagorized an editorial. Then, by inflating the circulation numbers, lost the trust of every one of the paper's advertisers. If he was going to get Strike 3, which was a very charitable move by the company (he probably had some sort of dirt on higher-ups), it was going to be in Canada.

    I quit a job once because the boss was such a huge prick and made me do "illegal"(against Texas Secondary Schools Atheltic Association, not civil or criminal law)things...bad timing on my part, he got fired about a month after I quit and they already had hired someone else.

    i worked in TV news for a few years, and those motherfuckers would just get fired left and right... the first one i was there for was the lady that hired me... i really liked her, and it was kind of traumatic because they just did that shit in the middle of the day, and she had to put all of her shit in a box and get escorted out of the building by security right in front of everybody in the newsroom... i had only been there a couple of months at that point, but i saw the same scene a bunch of times over the few years i worked there... i learned pretty quick that nearly everybody in the newsroom was either going to take the next job in a bigger market as fast as they could or get fired, so i just tried to be cool with everyone, but i didn't try to be real friends with them
