    Can I just take a moment to be serious and send my best wishes to all the workers and members of state welcomed federally illegal clubs around the country. Special shout out to the beautiful people of Hayward, CA, which looks like a likely canadate for a new stream of federal raids. Two weeks ago they were robbed. My friend had a gun stuck in her face for less than a pound.

    if you want to cut out drugs they should start with the two that kill the most people in the world by 1000% and that is tobacco and alchohol.

    the illegalities of mary jane are waaay too politically complicated.. had a lot to do with the russian's and brittish having a near monopoly on hemp production whereas the US was trying to foster their cotton industry.

    but its kinda one of those "why the fuck is the USA still embargoing Cuba" situations.. namely its a bunch of old white dudes with old fashioned agendas maintaining the status quo.

    One of my beefs is the corruption at those clinics. They should keep it clean for real[/b] sick people. That being said, prozac doesn't work as well as some good indo, but I don't go to the clinic. Gotta support my homies, nahmean?

    Yes, and we're not going to see drug law reform in this country anytime soon, because so many of our legislators are now of a generation that has had personal experience with illegal drug use and they are therefore very vulnerable to public attack if they push for reform. I believe that's one reason why we still can't even have a frank or realistic public discussion about it. Somebody like Bill Clinton surely perceived how draconian, punitive and unsupported by any form of hard scientic or sociological evidence our current policy is, but because of his own history, he probably believed himself incapable of saying anything about it publicly.

    Corruption?? WTF are you talking about? Real sick people? What does a fake sick person look like? Would someone who prefers a joint a week rather than prozac once a day not be considered real? You'd rather support your homies than support oranizations that care for the seriously ill?

    Trew, for the record, I love to get high no matter the occasion, but I also have arthritis and lost track of the multitudes of pain killers they used me as a guinea pig for by the time I was 13. I haven't taken a prescription pain killer in five years.

    Agree with Taza. I know quite a few people that use the clinics as their dealer these days... Better herb and they had a doctor freind prescribe it to them... Not knocking the value of medical marijuana, but there is alot of abuse going on with the clinics right now.

    somewhat related...viagra, which has been reported to cause blindness, is legal but the guvment is quick to make the chronic illegal..just a thought.

    I guess it's this I have a problem with. Are people really doing this? I've raerly heard of a club charging under $50 for their worst 3.5 grams and supply for one person is limited and monitored. I can't imagine anyone being able to do this from a business standpoint, or why anyone would try (growers completely different story / risks). These clubs provide thousands of people a day, any one person copping a bag for their friend is negligable at best. But then again, I live in Chicago, so please tell me if my mind garden is getting overgrown.





    ohh and bell... more people overdose yearly on water than pot, just a thought.

    Not related. Viagra doesn't independently cause blindness. They're still trying to establish the link between NAION (narrowing of the optic nerve) and the underlying conditions that may predispose people who experience this unfortunate side effect (there have only been 38 reported cases of blindess directly attributable to Viagra use, which is not statistically significant). The FDA has asked Pfizer to add a warning to the label.
