Would this make a good christmas gift for a wife who wants a cookbook, or should this be reserved for joke gift only?

    joke gift only

if wifey is really into cooking, I would suggest getting her a nigella lawson book. Straddling that fine line of pretty but a little pudgy. Girls don't feel threatened by her......

    That's size-ist!

All day long. How is she "a little pudgy"? She looks right.

silver spoon is actually a great book, but the English version is average.

real shit for Italian cooking is first of all
Pellegrino Artusi - La Scienza in Cucina e l'Arte di Mangiar Bene (The Science of Cookery and the Art of Eating Well)

There are two highly recommended essential books in English I don??t want to miss

"On Food and Cooking" by Harold McGee

"Professional Chef" by Culinary Institute of America

These two are far superior to any new "hip" cook book. Not useful for newbies though.

I think she's really attractive but she has an abnormally large domepiece and that takes away from the overall "bangin'" aspect of her figure. She's a step above mediocre. How bout that.

you are honestly not bothered by the size of the woman's head? and judging by her TV personality, I can't tell if the size is due to her overwhelmingly large brain or her overwhelmingly large ego....

And remember, picky as I may be about head size (no ayo), let's not forget...

  • she does have a pretty ginormous melon

anybody else ever feel like her show's a little like the soft core porn of the food network? cheesy background music, soft-focus lighting, her oohing and ahhing with gratuitous close ups of tenderly fingered produce...maybe it's just me

I said pudgy as a good thing, soulstrut police getting asshurt! haaah!

She is in my top 5 women list, a constant. I use "pudgy" as a comparison to the typical waifer thin standards of 1st world beauty. She loves to eat, so she has some feminine fat on her. Hence my point on why women aren't threatened by her, she stands up for the avg housewife. Also she knows how to dress her body, hides the unflattering parts but accentuates her strenghts. She is prettier in person......

giada's plunging v-neck sweaters, she knows how to sell the "goods". Obviously the producers do too as she is always leaning over the counter. Her show is decent, I'm not blown away by any of the recipes but that's the whole point. It's supposed to be rustic simple cooking, targeting the housewives that want to entertain easily.

oh yeah and also record nerds who like plunging cleavage.
