  • Strictly in terms of "beats" - I really dig the track "Grammy Family" - by Consequence produced by Kanye. Ill loop on that one...

    no...seriously...

  • i dunno about "best," but that beat actually is hot.

On Fishscale I liked Pete Rock's Be Easy.

RAGU on Fishscale. Simple, predictable, and I dig it.
Timbaland's AON joint on the Timberlake album.
Some shit. What year is it?

  • hmmm....

    i'm a say
    "signs" by j-dilla
    or

that clipse beat is cool, but beat of the year? Its just a loop. oh well.

II guess ill vote for what you know, But i dont think is been a very good year for rap at all.

  • Although the song I've seen set it off RIDICULOUSLY is "Keep Bouncin" (hatt away) that shit is crazy.

THAT BEAT IS NUTS! i don't hate (well, kind of) to admit it but will i am has stupid beats! i had bought my girl that black eyed peas album cause i thought she'd dig the happy good time rap (and i was correct). while i thought the album was bammer, they did have some nice beats on there.

Ride around shining is becoming my fave. Although the song I've seen set it off RIDICULOUSLY is "Keep Bouncin" (hatt away) that shit is crazy.

Yah that's aiight. Will I Am has a good ear for interpolating the old and making it "new."

    Timbaland - My Love
    Timbaland - Promiscuous
    The Runners - Hustlin'
Polow Da Don - Throw Some D's
Lil'Jon - Tell Me When To Go

Neptunes - Hell Hath No Fury

LOL@ Just Blaze vid. Can't be more nerdy than that. Anyway...

Beat of the year would be "Cry Now" produced by Witt & Pep, known as Sicknotes. They gave me chills with that beat. Reminds me of "Be That Way" on the previous Ghost LP.

Dem Hoodstarz - How We Do
    Justin Timberlake - My Love
Clipse - Momma I'm So Sorry & Mr Me Too

  • the gods gift 12 inch on ramp recordings, the whole b side, and the skit at the a side.

but kankicks incisions remix is REALLY killing it, and the outro en the b side is just TOO perfect, for me, this is the best 12 inch since quasimoto - basic instinct.

if you guys have??nt checked it out, you NEED to do it!

For me it's "Kilos", but does that count as a 2006 selection?

  • Tough category to pick.

    Clipse - Mr. Me Too
    Ghostface - Dogs of War

I can't pick one off the Donuts, so it's a tie between:
    Waves
    Two Can Win
    Don't Cry
    Last Donut of The Night-

    All
