His wife said he was a radio DJ on "black AM radio" through the 70s and that these are tapes of his shows:

    There's about 200 of them.
    I haven't heard them yet.
    Got no reel to reel.

man, i'm the worst at these threads...bad with a camera.

ok. i got, in the last week:

Sonny Stitt- Tornado sealed (THANKS, SoI)

    little records...

    Freda Payne- Band of Gold
    Bill Withers- Ain't No Sunshine
    Willie Bobo- Ain't Got Nobody
    Brook Benton- Moving Day
    Brook Benton- Lay Lady Lay
Grip of b-list James Brown titles

and, since vadjaj moved south to DC, i ain't had that second turntable and mixer to rock the dj gigs that have been coming my way with great frequency in the last 6 months.

so, as an early christmas gift, the wife gave me a new tech1200 and a mixer (returned the orig for a new one.)

    married life is good...

  • Indianapolis and Cincinnati finds:

Willie Hutch- Concert in Blues- sealed
De La Soul- 3 Feet High and Rising
    Kurtis Blow- S/T
    Brooklyn Allstars- Jesus Loves Me
Larry Norman- Something New Under the Son- terd city
Joe Mendelson- Mr. Middle of the Road
Siglo XXI- Decision- a couple decent psych-ish tunes
Harvi Griffin- The Other Side- private harp terd

    Charlie Haden- Closeness
Marion Brown- Afternoon of a Georgia Faun
    Sonny Stitt- Deuces Wild
John Fahey- Fare Forward Voyages (Soldier's Choice)
    The Swingin' Medallions- Double Shot
The Band- Music from Big Pink
Fury- Sharp Knives Heavy Chains- Cincinnati private 80s metal, already threw it on ebay
    Tangerine Dream- Atem- Italian press

and I had these 45s waiting in my mailbox when I got home:
