This has definately been covered on here before, so try a search. And over on V.V.

Also a couple of the older ISH's review some.

  • yes, the polish jazz series on muza..looking for psych, electronic vibes mostly but whatever is top drawer...

yeah, there are plenty of threads about muza - polish jazz.

  • so where are they guy? post the link or whatevr...i guess you would prefer discussing kirstie alley, will.i.am, or some political bs...thanks for putting in my place

so what are the real standouts, besides the ones reviewed by motown?

  • Krzystof Szydowski's "Three Thousand Points" is the ultimate Polish Jazz LP to me personally. I love the record, it's got everything: tons of funk, psychish bits, wahed out organ and thorough musicality.

i don't know where those threads are. i just know that there have been some polish jazz recommendations before.

stanko, novi singers, milian, markowicz, sadowski...

it depends on what you are looking for. straight ahead jazz?

    prague big band
    sadowski
    markowicz
    karolak - easy
    arp life

    Yo, again :-)

  • these are the only i polish records i got, janos gonda sextet is hungarian i think, and of course the boot camp clik 12 inch in the background has nohing to do with the other records.

    my favourites out of these:

    1. jerzy milian trio - baazaar
    2. extra ball - birthday
    3. jan ptaszyn wroblewski
    4. henryk debich - string beat
    5. woichiech karolak - easy

check out one of the drumbreaks (1 of 3) on the czerwone gitary lp:

    http://final.no/Czerwone%20Gitary%20-%20Bylas%20Mej%20Pamieci%20Wierszem(mp3).mp3

the nol - breakout lp, and the henryk debich - string beat lp do also got some SICK drumbreaks for those cats who cares about that, tight 80-85 bpm drumbreaks.

someone who can send me some soundclips of the sadowski - three thousand points lp?

    fred

How's that Bergendy-- it's one of their only records I don't have...

  • "Reciprok akkordok" it's my favorite track of Bergendy and it's from "Jazz" LP
