Just wondering what some of your favorite folky psych LPs fronted by female vocalists happen to be. I'm forever digging on the Lily & Maria LP on Columbia, the Lovers Pipe Dream LP, and the re-released Susan Christie album (that one is about as good as it gets).peacepz

unfortunately, it's not her best performance. i wish youtube had other frumpy videos.
i agree with the Nancy Priddy
Linda Perhacs
Also.....
Susan Jacks from The Poppy Family....
Annette Peacock.....
Babara Keith....
And on a more folky tip...
Sandy Denny from Fairport Convention
I should have known I'd bump in to you one of these days on here. You'll have to visit now that I helped steal Brad from the east.
ruth copeland?
i wish there was some stuff from her solo records. those are as f*ck
For real?
I've never heard any but assumed they would be either watered-down AOR or too proggy...
Such a fucking great album. Dorothy Moskowitz always looked like such a dime to me on that cover.
step off kid. you know she's MINE.
Major cosine on Mariska from Shocking Blue and Susan Jacks from the Poppy Family. 2 of my favorite groups for sure.
Ruth Copeland was damn hot, but her voice is terrible!!
I'll concede as long as I can walk off with the Sound of Feeling girls.
*mmmmmmm...*
not to toot my own horn...but my band from the 90s had a pretty solid female psych vocalist, Jessica Nelson. I had a hard time finding a pic of our first LP, but google provided the link...."soulstrut.com"! crazy...seems High C put it in his "ish" from a while back...soulstrut is up on everything.
Peace,
Big Stacks from Kakalak
Ellen McIllwaine - "Jimmy Jean", "Toe Hold", "Wings of a Horse", "Higher Ground", "Born Under a Bad Sign"...she's so ill.
Nancy Priddy - "You've Come This Way Before" is unfadeable.
Susan Jacks - I get goosebumps when I listen to "No Blood In Bone"
Trish Keenan (Broadcast) - "Man Is Not A Bird"
She left us way too early. Love her voice on this cut.
