SP1200 question

You know how if you trigger a sample that doesn't exist (like you hit the buttom for A1, but there's no sound in bank A1), it makes that really high-pitched noise? In this beat I'm working on, I'm getting that same noise from banks that do have sounds in them. I noticed it as I was playing back a sequence I had programmed--it looks like every time sounds D6, D7, and D8 are triggered, I get the sample plus that really annoying high-pitched noise. Has anybody else encountered this? Is there a way to get rid of it?

  • Every once in a while my 1200 does the same thing. Just hit the 'sample' button, than go back to your sequence/ song/ whatever, that fixes it for me.

  • Is their a real big difference between the SP1200 and the SP-12?

SP1200 has more sample memory/time. I think the SP12 has 6 seconds and the SP1200 has 12 seconds.
