Hammond Organ upkeep?

I figured I'd post this here as a few of you might actually own a hammond organ and can help me out...So my roommate just got this C3. pretty rad and overall in nice shape. it just seems like it can use a good cleaning on the contacts and etc. the slidebars are a bit flaky--gotta jingle em a little bit for them to set in right. I also think the tremolo to the Leslie is not working / hooked up properly. if anybody knows where there might be some DIY columns w/ pictures and fun stuff, or if you have any good advice, lay it on me. it'd be much appreciated.
