Looking forward to picking this up, have you got a UK release date yet ???

  • Yo, I just found out that spinemagazine posted the epk...Man I said so much more about other shit too!! To answer the question about the proper clearing of the tracks...yes BBE cleared everything. Also the European release date is 7/11/06. In the states, the release date is 7/18/06. I am very intested in hearing what ya'll's feedback will be on the comp.
    peace,

yo...that shit came off, wish i made it for the filming.
The tracklisting, some of yall will know..some rare but not the rarest, just quality joints...cept for the one i dont care much for ( amir ! ha ha! ) we wanted to pick songs that you can listen the whole way thru, opposed to the ontrack style which muro gives us, so its a good balance.
matthew larkin cassell is on the comp...and he is quite happy about it, dude has been recording again..matt is a super cool cat too.
I did a seperate mix for radio in europe that has none of the songs featured on the kings of comp...not sure how to get a hold of it...featuring covers of lovely day and rock your baby... its a good look for the summer weather.

more importantly look out for the promo treats !
ontrack 6 which will be coming out shortly, i feel is the best in the series..2 hours long with track points.

Good to hear, I'll buy it as soon as it drops. You almost pronounced H??rselmat correctly, too! I've actually never heard that record though, despite being from Sweden.

  • LOL!! I sooo tryin' to not fuck up the name of the record...but hey at least an A for effort!! I hope you all enjoy the comp.

i'd been thinking of trying to look MLC up for the last couple years...is he in san jose? what's his story? next time you talk to him tell him to thank Big Jimbo for some of the loudest drums ever recorded west of the 880. Fiyah!

What's wrong with 38 tracks in a mix, that's a pretty nice number if you ask me?? The package is dope!

props to Kon, Amir and Muro-San!

    peace.

  • believe me, it wasn't our intent to do just 17 songs. we had maaaad shit that didn't get cleared and bbe was in a rush to put this out..however, muro got to get his shit off. that really sucks, but hey what can u do?! I think our selection is tight and can hold it's own. what do ya'll think????

our selection is tight and can hold it's own.

Muro's disc was a little bit too frantic and too much to take in, its good and everything, but ya'll got some nice cool out joints and some uptempo butters to listen to, overall I like yours better. I can't believe MLC is on there! At first I was like 'cause that's one of my joints, but I'm glad he's getting the exposure. "In My Life" is sooo dope.

  • Yo, Thanks!! I just everyone who likes the kings of diggin' CD will go out and buy it!
