Yeah, there seems to be a lot of that lately. I was thinking of posting a psychology strut thread regarding the recent outpouring of emotions. Bad times for a lot of people lately?

    Here goes:

    1. God (from whom all blessing flow).

    2. Life itself (it's a great gift; the worst day is better than none at all).

    3. My wife and dog (they keep me anchored and act as my sanctuary from a cruel, cold world).

    4. My parents and brother (their influence resulted in the man I've become).

    5. My friends (their constant support girds me).

    6. Knowledge (it's one of man's greatest, yet under-utilized resources).

    7. Music (it's my opiate, release, and greatest indulgence).

    8. Academic research and teaching (these stimulate my mind and give me a channel through which to contribute to mankind).

    9. Travel (I love to see the beauty of the world and all it contains. I'm awed by world's wonders).

    10. Beauty (it's inherent in most things, if you know how to look).

    Peace,

    Big Stacks from Kakalak

  • 1. A good smoke sesh.
    2. Animals
    3. Playing music with all my friends.
    4. Getting a kick-ass record that blows my mind.
    5. Making someone happy.
    6. All the beautiful ladies and guys walking about on these early summer days.
    7. A night of drinky-drinky fun-fun.
    8. Hijinks.

Cosign! I don't even know that many people on this board but you all have such amazing interests and funny stories and great insights on music and life. It's very easy to get sucked in around here.

    Other lovely things:

Being introduced to new (to me) music
Waking up in the morning with a perfect vision of a piece of art I want to create (the hard part is then finding the time to create it)
    My husband
    My dopey cat
Bonding with my dad over a mutual love of jazz. I just introduced him to YouTube, next thing you know he will be posting on the Strut
    Summer!
    Baseball
    Friends

This book is a really big deal in russia right now. He was outlawed for so long, but everyone read it. And this movie directed has lead a big rediscovery of his work.
