gonna be staying with premier this week. i'm gonna try and get him to come to soulstrut for an hour or two to answer some questions you may have or shout out to him if you like. not 100 percent this is gonna happen but if it does i'll post it up ahead of time. also any heads out in new york know of any happenings i should know about post em up here.carloswww.thecraftbeats

    Seriously, he's obviously a guy who appreciates pellas because he's made a good living out of cutting them up for his choruses. He's a dj and knows they're useful. Yet it seems he never told the company to throw them on the 12"s. I never understood that..

    ANY WAYS.. tell him they should release gangstarr acapellas and GET THE NY STATE OF MIND INSTR. out in some way shape or form.

    its on one of those premo bootleg instro LP's, but they are notrious for just looping a bit of the track that has no vox on if a proper inst. doesn't exist.

    that said I did hear it played live once and this was beofre that alicia keys thing (dunno how that sounds anyway)

    just made it in. i will show him all the questions you guys ask. not sure he gonna answer all of them but he will at least check out the questions and hopefully he will sign up one day and be a strutter. anyway i'll be here till sunday and will be very busy. check out his show on xm radio. he's gonna be recording all week long. i'l post up some pictures when i get back.

    kind of corny but...

    since some of his samples (especially Nas Is Like currently) have yet to be truly discovered and sample spotters are really looking for them, does he feel any pride in that, and does he even really know which of his samples are still lesser known? Does he care or does he think looking for samples is corny?

    plus when the vic juris - horizon drive was discoverd for mass appeal is was, at least to internet geeks, a fairly big deal. When something like that is found is kind of like getting your balloon popped? Or is he just worried the sample clearers will find out

    I know that's kind of corny, but i'm interested.

    I have always wondered if he has a real home or does he live at a studio somewhere constantly working...

    Also if Jeru asked reaaaaal nice if he could come back into the fold, would Primo let him...

    Also he needs to know that the current stable of emcees that they are messing with are a million times better than the old ones... he knows that though...

    was in the studio last night untill about six in the morning. working on the royce da 59 track. cool thing was i got to engineer the session late at night when the engineer went home. also got to see showbiz. he had just seen a special screening of the xmen. tonight we are supposed to meet amerie. going to take more picture's and hopefully get him to check out the website tonight or tomorrow. rolling with him is not for the week. i see i;m going to change my sleep patterns. dude is a workaholic. anyway i'll keep you posted. i hate i forgot my camera and video camera. all i got is a cheap walgreens one. oh and he also di a xm radio show today and i;ll try and get and post up when i get back home.

    well all i got is the walgreens camera. gonna have to barrow premiers digital camera. just met up with amerie and her people. she's really cool people. i think premo gonna work with her on her next project as well. right now i'm in mid manhattan. it about 3:00 in the morning and probably wont leave untill 6 am. been real hectic. gonna try and get him to check the sit eout tomorrow. untill then.

    well i woke up yesterday to find premo looking through the posts at soulstrut. i have a picture to prove it as well. he said he liked the questions that he read so far and will probably start looking through the strut. not sure if he will actaully become a member but i will save it to his favorites list. today is saturday and his work schedule is crazy as can be. the one thing i can say is dude is focused when it comes to getting shit done at all crazy hours of the day. will let you know how thw ac show goes. i'll be back on sunday night. pictures will have to get developed on monday.

    I always wondered what he thought when he heard - for example - the artistics track (what the world needs now..) for the first time.
    Did he directly "hear" the beat he made with that or did he first mess around with it till it sounded good?

    well it was a rough ride. was an experience for sure. i wil post up some picture i took of premier looking at soulstrut in the background so cats won't think i'm front'n. he also showed me the 78 that he used for nas-is like. the thing that sucks is i took most of the pic's with a cheap walgreens camera. he digital camera did not have the wire to transfer over the computer. so anyway i took a few shots of his set up in his house and picture of the studio and some other things. i'll post them up hopefully this week. he also said he liked the questions members were asking. i don't know if he's gonna sign up but he did like the board and the questions people were asking.
