    How Vinyl Records Are Made

    Part 1
    Part 2

    Whoa indeed.

I think my favorite part was the actual pressing and cutting of the vinyl at the end. Something very satisfying about watching that.

There is a short film by Francois Truffaut, Antoine et Colette,
in which the male title character works at a record pressing plant, and
there is a sequence showing the process of cutting the records that is pretty
cool. He even presents Colette with the first record he presses himself.
There are cool Parisian record shops in the film, too.

It was originally part of an omnibus film from 1962 with shorts by 3
directors called Love at Twenty, but is now available on the Criterion
Adventures of Antoine Doinel box set, which I wish I owned.
