somebody's on a psych bender! Have you heard Darius' second album?

Yeah, i have been on a pure psych bender for about 4 months now and i don't see an end to it. It's all i want to listen to right now. It feels like when i was a kid and first really started getting into hip hop, the excitement of a new dscovery.

I haven't heard the second Darius album but i understand that it has its moments.

Those who are into Green for the funky breaks might not like it, but its a really good record.

and I can't shake this one off...

I couldn't shake off the feeling that the Stone Roses took a lot from this LP. Especially the Snakeskin woman/Snakeskin garter(?) track.

I don't know about 'heavy spins', but these are the CEEDEES I been listening to the past couple days:

  • La Revoluci??n de Emiliano Zapata, s/t

    What's this album like?

  • pickwick33pickwick33 8,946 Posts
Been listening to a lot of music lately, but these are the records that have been getting the repeated spins:

"Everyday I Have The Blues" - Lowell Fulson

"Sippin' On A Sud" - Wade Jackson
(I think he's the third guy from the right)

"Stop Doggin' Me" - Johnnie Taylor ("that spells D-O-G-G-I-N...stop doggin' me around!")[/b]

ALSO: "I Am What I Am" - Reuben Howell (fine white Muscle Shoals soul that I should mention over there in the Motown thread, since he was a Motown artist)
