I just did a short mix today of instrumental beats. Only 39 mins. Also added loads of film dialogue ripped from some of my DVDs.I think I'm getting the mixtape bug back again...I'm going to try for a full on one soon. The instrumental hip hop thread gee'd me up.>>> WATER CYBORGS[/b]

OH SNAP
Thanks for including that. I'm going to download this right now.
I love that track dude. I rate your stuff. Your Edan mix is double
This was my first ever CD, MP3, DVD mix.
My technics mixer is ratshitted at the moment, so i have to resort to other means.
Can't add cuts but adding loads of dialogue to spice it up..
This new one I'm working on is at 60+ mins & I'm only half way through after a day plugging away at it..
oh! i remember when that got posted. good stuff!
is there an mp3 of that floating around? did it get released?
i'm checkin the mix right now.
Not released in any way... no... but you can grab a copy off my website. www.beatchemist.com
Didn't know people were really feeling my shit around here... lol. Nice surprise.
More instrumental hip hop beats. Just something to play in the office, not something to wig out on. Due to my mixer leaking when I cut, I had to refrain from adding scratches. So i compensated by making it interesting by lacing the mix with kooky samples of dialogue again.
Will post track listing if requested.

Looks great IP but that link ain't working for me .. hmmm
Fixed... Dolt...
Copied wrong URL thingy...
Next mix looks like it'll be an exotica 60s, fruity soul, Euro funk, big band number...
Mixed on the decks then edited & layered.
Working on it now... While i'm in the mood for making them.
...in the 90s i used 4 tracks like everyone eles.
Usually it's just 2 turntables. but on Friday someone said I could use Garageband on a Mac to make mixes. So i spent friday making the mix whilst using the program blindly. i'd never even looked at it before...
...you can import .Aif & .mp3 files onto the tracks.
make the tempo 60bpm. at 120bpm it'll be limited to 30mins.
though i used V.1 f the program..so it might be different now...
others on PC use Acid to sequence & add film stuff.
it has some nifty effects for a simple sequencing program...
easy to use.
when you open the stoerandserve page, look to the right & you'll see a Download Now, press it & then the next page look down at the bottom...
link will be there.... click!!
It was an experiment.
It was a test to see whether I could use what records were in arms reach of my decks. All pulled on the fly. My room is pretty much wall to wall, floor to floor of wax, so I had enough to choose from. I just didn't know which record to mix after each other so Its all made up as I went.
No raps, just some Bollywood, exotica, English TV shows, soul, cheesy funk, 1950s war soundtracks, Bing Crosby, Malaysian pop, Glen Campbell, children's records, African jazz & some instrumental hip hop beats.
It's pretty random & retarded.

It's a mix of vinyl, CDs, MP3s & DVDs...
I have no idea what I just did with it...
I was on a tangent, then turned left, then right, then went & backtracked. On the way I bumped into a Mystic, drank with a Sufi, tripped over a Rabbi, punched a New Ager, tricked a Cleric, kissed a Psychic & fooled a Joker. On the journey I also dined with Jess Franco, Jon Stewart & Ed Wood over a meal of fried crickets & frog spawn.
- Idiot Proof.
Oh & there's more guys than girls in this mix, so ignore the cover & title. I must've had too many musk sticks while making it. It was the artificial pink colouring that swayed my mind.
