That's the worst stage to be in. Right in the beginning when you suck ass but some how you don't think you do. You are not shy about recording / video taping yourself (like .. look ma.. i'm playing with REAL DJ equipment) What usually solves this problem is a god sonning from someone far more experienced.
haha... i went through that stage... i had a little gemini "dj in a box" set up that cost like $200 for the whole thing - turntables, mixer, slipmats, headphones... i would make mixtapes every week, listen to them in my car, and just ride around thinking to myself "I'M A REAL DJ!"... fortunately, i didn't give too many of them out... sometimes i wish i still had that enthusiasm though

Supergreg popped up about 1999/2000 with supergreg.com. You can find the tribute here http://zmax.org/supergreg/sgdotcom/ It was basically a massive marketing campaign by Lee Jeans where it builds up and he battles Buddy, that little dumb mascot from Lee jeans. We were all pissed when we found out it was all just a ploy by Lee. Supergreg was a phenomenon from about 2000-2001 and they changed the site to a lee jeans site in late 2001/early 2002.
