On a related note, I was daydreaming about DCastillo (prohomo) at work today and reminiscing on his "Step In The Marina"-era jpg fuckery. During those few blissful moments I thought it would be fun for the marina rock/Gangstarr tradition to continue with "Mast Appeal." Dave?

I like Mass Appeal cause it's interesting and cheap. Why not get WP and XXL too?

These are great. I was literally brainstorming with my homie for some titles the other night. Don't know why these didn't come to mind.

Is it me, or was Step In The Arena their best shit? I know it's a tough call, but that's the one that did it for me. I must have owned that cassette 4 or 5 times.
Daily Operation is a close second.

I think Step in the Arene comes first.

I asked Guru and Primo too, for them Step in the Arena is also first.

Than for me Moment of Truth, Daily Operation, No More Mr. Nice Guy, Hard To Earn, The Ownerz.

What I think is funny is that most people you asked say Moment of Truth is their favourite LP but I think it has to do with two reasons.

    1st.
They started listening to rap around mid-ninetys and therefore Step in the Arena was propably "old school" for them.

    2nd
1 year before Moment of truth and almost 10 yaers after it, the style of Primo is the same. And at that point it was the absolute peak/climax for that style.

At that point there were a million mini-premiers making beats in the absoulte same style.

I think the best style biter which came the closest to bite Primo was DJ Ill Boogie from the westcoast.

    Peace
