Man, more collectors need to get off the rump and get down with DCastillo and make these sties. Indiana45s, Ohiosoulrecordings, the Carolinas site, are what this shits all about, and are a valuable resource for the collectors and the artists. I wanna see a wyoming45s.com, southdakotalps.com, and all that shit. Hop to it!

I'm all for helping develop a bay area site if those with the knowledge are down for contributing the content. I have the webspace and a database server so I could make a nice interface for open contributions. It would definitely be a task though.

newyorksoulrecordings.com will be up soon, has been in the works for years.

I'd love to see Castillo give the Dayton Music Guide a makeover... I guess the first site like it I stumbled on a few years back..

VA has straight heat yet to be exposed.

Chicago's soul output 1965-1985 makes Detroit look like Grand Forks.
You're either serious or you're not.
So much work has already been done on the Detroit discography scene,
you just need to insert all of those '70s and '80s records you sell on eBay.

Chicago is a larger city & is seemingly less documented than Detroit, that is true. but Detroit is just so damn prolific though! there's always some new piece appearing.

english guys have been working on detroit discogs forever, I send them info here & there, no need to re-invent the wheel.

I don't have a catalogers or discographers mentality, that's the main thing.

PS: put me in the 'not serious' column.
