I guess you could call it sweet soul - I read somewhere that hutson sings the lead, but I'm not really sure on that - no verification.

So if I were to hazard a guess, the record is pre-1970? It's got Hutson's name all over it, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he inserted himself into the lead singer's role. Or maybe he was the lead singer of the group all along.

The post-Curtis Mayfield version of the Impressions (with Hutson as Mayfield's replacement) recorded a version of that song as well. I've got this track on a Impressions compilation...sounds a lot like Hutson on the lead vox. Really nice tune!
