Most of those French pressings are from the same year of release - pressings are to cater to the French ...and the language laws in Quebec which protect theFrench language.

I don't beleive that to be the case with this record. It was reissued/repressed for the collector market at some point in the 80's. Look at the label name. If it was a contemporary issue to the Styletone 45, it'd be on a legit French label, not Googa Mooga[/b].
Just says he left Carolina when he was 25...started as a soloist with gospel playing different clubs in Miami and Chicago...was involved in the adaptation of his organ?...was signed to Styletone to a 5 years contract for $25!...

ah, nothin. I did find about 10 copies of it once though and I guess the title got my expectations up a lil too high... I really wanted to like it.. I tried, oh I tried and just couldn't do it.

That Ironing Board Sam is a reissue of this...
He was a New Orleans guy (though it's a Cali label)
Thanks for the info. I prefer the term "French Pressing" to "Reissue" though...
Although, it is on a different label.
Anyway, 'reissue' implies to me it was issued in the last 15 years, and this definitely was not.

Truth, K.
I found a jpeg of the back text. Any Frenchy types who can translate???
I found this on E-bay. Looks like a late 60's French label. My apologies.[/b]

That's a little harsh, what'd it do to you?
It tore through this thread like a tornado, leaving a bitter trail.....
...I happen to like it though.
