Any folks gonna be out there? Making my inaugural trip down there. Gonna be there weds to sat.. saw that atmosphere is doin a show. new mastersounds. other than that not knowing what the deal is. gonna peep the bbq(obviously) whats the word besides the obvious?It would be the move if the austin record conv fell in conjunction. but no chance on that.any ss fam gonna be in attendance?

    Johnny Journalist on the spot. That's my busiest week of the year since the Chronicle does dailies just for SXSW. In fact the pre-work is already in full swing. I've got 21 65-word artist profiles due tomorrow morning and so far I'm only done with 8 of them. Off of the official list, it's slim-pickin's this year: Blackalicious, tha Alkaholiks, Talib Kweli, Supernatural, Jean Grae, and most of the usual suspects. I spoke with Matt Sonzala last weekend and he was throwing out additional names including Devin, Slim Thug, Chamillionaire, Screwed Up Clique, etc. Surely there will be plenty of good shit to go around, but damned if I'm not already exhausted from merely thinking about SXSW.

    Naw...Ruby's is down on Guadalupe and 29th...I think there is only one.

    We have Ruby's and Rudy's. I've never had a need to try Ruby's thanks to the presence of Rudy's.
