OK, I've never started a thread on the Strut, so be gentle with me. What are your all-time favorite music videos?? I was inspired by the 'best videos of 2005' thread elsewhere. I think that was that "I'll Be Dat" joint where there's a little Redman running around inside some crazy video game, and all those crazy commercial spoofs, like Redman cereal and stuff.... cool video.
I'll Be Dat (i think)- great video although that was a blatant Wayne's World rip.

My faves are:
That Kylie Minogue one by Michel Gondry where she's walks around that town square 4 times so when she reaches the starting point again she carries on, followed by herself the previous time. That was a pretty clever concept - they had a camera mounted and locked off and followed her around the sqaure on rails 4 times. Then merged all the takes one by one over the top of each other. In the background, the props and extras move slightly 4 times so nothing overlaps. You end up seeing the first trip 4 times, the second 3, the third 2... all in the same take.... its weird.
The Chemical Brothers video for Let Forver Be - some of the craziest scene merges EVAR, using feedback techniques and stuff. Best vid ever.
Shit yeah. Chris Cunningham's video for Come To Daddy is in my top five without a doubt.
They had a whole series on Channel 4 in the UK a few years back where each week they'd focus on a different music video director. Which I'd had the foresight to tape it.
