    I'm a gospel fan. I'm ice-grilling this thread... as I've said before, its like looking only for FONKY brazilian records... or FONKY blues records...

    this is rare one in that, it is AMAZING gospel music as well as funky, the funkiness is just the icing on the Jesus cake.

    I don't think asking opinions on which is the funkiest equals "only looking for" funky gospel...

    I'll also add I've picked up gospel records that folks on here have pushed as 'funky' that were complete terds...

    For what it's worth, my favorite Gospel stuff is probably Swan Silvertones on Vee Jay - hardly funky, but definitely with a secular twist to the music.

    I like that Sons of Truth LP on the funkier tip...

    Its on a Stax subsidiary Truth, I like every track on there myself. I wouldn't say its hard or funky exactly but a solid listen for sure.

    shingaling can help with clips...I went out to the car to look for a CDR of it, but no dice...sorry, all I have is hyperbole at the moment.

    yes. when that fool gets back to his house he'll be dropping jesus knowledge like nobodys biznass.

    As far as hard, non-gospel, jesus heat, Agape shant be overlooked. Think of it as a poor mans D.R. Hooker. you're welcome. This came off the shelves of DJ 'Jesus' Coolhands as well.
