I guess the only ones I've heard would be the 'krap' then...

  • oh hell yes bitch

  • I would like to take this opportunity to propose a concept that Rich has unknowingly stumbled upon:

KRAP[/b] = records you know are shit but keep anyway, to perhaps "enjoy" at a later date

CRAP[/b] = shit records you expel and will never, ever enjoy

First you have to realize that whoever put up this gallery is into singer/songwriter/loser/Poco/folk/soft rock with a dash of psych thrown in.....

Some of the better ones are:
    Harvest Flight
    Dino Valente
    Southwest FOB
    Jan & Lorraine
    Gentle Soul
    Wendy & Bonnie
    Skip Spence
    Bob McCarthy

    Along with the following 's
    Stone Harbour
    Timmothy
    Folklords
    Hickory Wind
    Asylum
    Matreiya Kali
    Linda Perhacs
    13th Floor Elevators "Easter Everywhere"
    Creme Soda

The one that has me the most intrigued is The Dady Brothers "Mind To Move"...anyone have any info on this one???

The Odegard is going for about $75 these days.....the attraction is the 13+ minute long "When I Get Home" cut

quite the glimpse into the mind of a soft rocker. he will always remember the day he dropped acid and listened to 13 floor elevators. it was mind expanding, but everytime he goes back to it, it just sounds like.... way too phased out. that shit is troo crazy for him. someone put on Alzo and Udine quick

yeah got it in a dollar bin at a comic book store and couldn't find much info on it. i'll give it another spin for the aforementioned hit song...but i sampled some nice open keys off it a few weeks back.

"with pleasure"... good call here. that LP and my "broad daylight woman" 45 (also on the album) have received much love over the years...

    thanks for the link...

Nah....I dig Poco....I use "loser" in the context of "loser folk". Country had "Crying In Your Beer" songs and Loser Folk has "Slit Your Wrists With A Razor Blade" songs.

Timothy B. Schmidt is my hero!!

  • Goldie Hawn made an album?

  • dan penn, and feminie complex, and Love

i wouldnt call these acts folky or singer-songwritery, although i can see how they could appeal to somebody into that kinda music

  • The Crying of a Generation***

    ***Alhambra approved.

  • Cool album display. Very little here I'd actually buy, but even so, nice covers. Notice that:

    (1) More than one album title has the word "songs" in it
    (2) More than one album cover has the artist either walking down a dirt road or hanging out in the country.

So I guess singer-songwriter albums with those two characteristics are the next big collector thing now, huh?
