Is $23 for having a record sent to the US from Spain outrageous or about right?

    Shipping to and from Spain is expensive and slow.

    Inform the seller that he can easily get the total weight under 350 gram if he uses the right cardboard

    One record? When I send one record to Spain it costs normal 10-12 bucks for Air...

    That doesn't mean the reverse is true. Sounds a little high, but not by much....from what I remember, they had the highest shipping costs out anywhere I've bought from.

    K.

  • To send a packet from 350 gr up to 1000 gr (usually 1-3 lps) costs 18 euros = $23
    I find impossible to send a good, sturdy packet for less than 350 gr.
    At least, spanish postage is fast.

    Currency conversion site:
    18.00 EUR
    Euro = 23.1786 USD

    I have found the Spanish and French post to be slowest.

    Two 32cm x 32cm pieces of cardboard with ductape on the sides will do the trick
