Roger Simard & Nick Ayoub.
I believe that is a record for a RCI/CBC sale on ebay, no? Emile Normand sold for $107 last month but this topped that.
Has anybody heard the compilation yet?
So you know which covers are considered original pressings?
Yellow, Nature, Fiddle Dude, or Dr. No? I think each year they introduced a new stock cover.
Nope. Kevin Howes likely knows what I'm talking 'bout.
East Coast K.
Do tell. Or are you keeping it "misty"?
is this a clue?

Not following you. Is the a LP called 41%?
Pacific Salt?

We're just curious kev... every time the RCI & CBC stuff comes up you vaguely reference some superior article and diss the ones we bring up, but then keep tight lipped. You'd think disclosing titles (as you do for reggae 'finds') would jump the price of said obscurities
Anyways - "Ready or Not" is a good introduction, but is missing a lot of the faves nate listed. It also has a decidedly less "electric" lean than I expected. I'll review it for the site if raj wants (you been getting my PMs or what boyo?)
You can still find later pressings ("white" and "silver" covers) of this stuff cheap around...
Agreed. THe comp is good, but much more on the traditional tip. Not enough funky jazz. Which exists in abundance on that label.

i fucking hope so... hehehe... i want that CD...
k on the coast (spst slmn gng 05)
Please educate us.

Heatrock?
Plaese don't.
I think the comp's got a good shot! A lot of tracks have a post-bop/modal feel similar to the giles peterson comps. If they get good distribution & press they should be set.
it was good, but the break was the best part of the
record. the other stuff was cool, but not cool
enough to keep.
great break though.
Why? Aren't we here to share information?
John seems to have his distribution game on lock. Dusty Groove tends to suck him off...which helps, especially in that market.

ps: I have to give my kudos to al*ster for the feist rmx, so good!
Oh, I'm sure after you discover one of you signature private press jammy's you come straight to Soulstrut to divulge all your information (pre-calling them up and offering them $5 each for every copy...which you, of course, don't profit off), right?
K.
I just want to know about an existing record.
I've never held out info from inquiring minds. I'm not one to keep record info secret really.
