We'll be getting further than this as I vaguely remember that there was an eastern european big band jazz funk tune dropped somewhere near the end of the mix. Prague Big Band most probably. But i need to get back to the lab, check the mix again, then dust off the E European jazz section at home and find out. I'm just leaving for a week off in the Austrian Alps, chillin with 'em cows and yodelers, so it won't happen before next week, but if anyone still checks this topic by then (and if no nerd got it right already by then) I will get back with the 411.

Will is a GREAT guy, period.

(First post over here, so "hi" to all of you) This indeed is a lovely mix, mind that the raw Orchestra Bawobab bomb is going to be released on a Soundway 7" each day now, together with two other standout afro-funk singles! AND Will has set up his own imprint called 'Magnetic Fields' focusing on his more experimental, funk productions with the likes of Todd Simon and Max from Poets of Rhythm! Gonna be deep, no doubt.

Sorry. I dunno if anyone is still into this topic. It took me a while to find time for some research in the lab. But it was worth it:

    14. SHQ - Kocici Sen (The Cat's Dream) (Panton) 1972

(Much respect to daddy Keyser for showing me the right direction after I couldn't seem to find the source of this joint among the usual suspects of my east euro jazz collection.

Quantic rocks Budapest tonight, if any of you is anywhere near here. The heat is on.
