i listened to all that i could (cant handle m4a's)
all were nice, soulstrut has some beatmakers indeed...these stood out to me
paul nice - theme
meaty's
mdejean's - hardboyled is pretty smooth
Ham's 2nd....sick
relistening to mine...there's way too much compression. i hate when im getting to the mixing down stage and start to lean towards quantity (of volume) over quality
well... heres a little thing involving drums and some countrypsychish guitar, simple really....... oh yeah, remember to turn it up acouple dbs (it will sound better that way )
Paul, that remix of blaze a 50 made me realize how fuckin incredible that song is. i could never really hear it since the beat for the OG is so butt. but thats really a lyrically incredible song. the beat you did is fuckin dope too. whats the sample? i know ive ehard it used before but i cant remember where
Beat that was lying around for a year until I found a nice sample to finish it off. My boy was gonna rhyme over it but I don't know if he's gonna use it now. If anyone's interested...lemme know...

i never listened to this album...i actually bought it and returned it unopened...i thought this was cool though...the drum programming is nice....these vocals definitely don't do it for me...
I'm really feeling a lot of these. Since we're doing remixes I figured I would re-post some from the other day, just some throwback straight out the SP ish:

Nearest Nova - What Could You Do (Gloom Remix)
All very dope peoples. Keep em coming.
Here's some more, this time in the form of remixes...
For The Nasty (Q Tip & Busta)
Virgo (Nas, Ludacris, Dougie) - my "other" virgo remix. my "everybody gets to flip 'Nautilus' at least once" version.
Run (Ghost & Jada)
Blaze a 50 (Nas) - I did this around the time the song came out as a b-side to "Hate Me Now". The sample's since been used a few times, and better IMO. I still like this though.
Time's Up (OC) - I've done this one quite a few times as well. Along with "It Ain't Hard To Tell", it's one of my favorite acappellas to blend up. Everything just seems to work with it. A testament to OC's varied vocal abilities no doubt. Not sure if I like this particular remix though.

That's a nice mellow beat
I did this a few weeks back.
a remix of Freeway - Alright
I think I made some changes (taking out the "Just Blaze", moving stuff around) after this version, but I don't feel like opening up pro tools.
