Is that Jake One tape good? Thats the tape where he is using the Royal Flush - Hot Spot LP cover-art (poker style) and have Jake One written instead of Royal Flush?
All the AR mixes are slamming. I've sold through my batch! I gotta reup with the homie.
Does anyone know who does that "touch me again" track from the beggining of Jake Ones AR mix? (I think its AR 2)
That song song kills me every time I play that mix. I need to know what it is. Any help would be cool. Thanks guys (and girls)
CPR, you would know wayyy better than me, but are you sure theres not a Levan mix of Walking on Sunshine? I have no vinyl to verify, but my mp3 sezz so. It also sounds pretty signature L.L.
i like italo and wasn't sold on that gary low but if i find it again i'll re-check.
spencer jones "how high" is indeed a classic...so dope. it's produced by the Atmosfear/Powerline/Elite records dudes like Andy Sojka. i have an extra copy if anybody is interested.

Its off a gospel record called Soul Liberation. Don't remember the name of the song though. I have copies of the AR Mixes if anybody is interested. A lot of the records listed and many more are on em. PM the boy.
Gary Low - You are a Danger (Quality) More like Italo Boogie, but the breakdown is bananas.
The breakdown, and maybe the intro are the only worthy portions of this joint if my memory serves proper. I parted with it a while back. Super hokey, if a re-edit were implemented i think then we would have some heat to speak of.
passengers - hot leather.. ive been meaning to re-edit this track forever. i thought passengers were from quebec though no??? names appear french and all of mine are on unidisc (not that that means shit).
Prince Charles - ive got a sick 12" by him called - in the street.. copped doubles from a lesbian dj's yardsale a few years back...
here's the prince charles beat the bush...i don't have a copy of the slyck version anymore so i can a/b them...

and here's more passengers fun...this is the "casino" album from 1981...on durium which is an italian label...all songs recorded in italo, and all their names are very italian. you must have canadian pressings of their records dubious...that "hot leather" is on a blue uniwave 12" right? this album is very nice...quite "change"-ish italo boogie...lots of nice sampling possibilities.
Their stuff was released as well in QC on UNIDISC.

Eastbound Expressway - Never Let Go/Cloudburst
Just realized Never Let Go has a similar bassline progression to Running Away.
Also, got to give it up to the AVI's that have track line cues where all the drum breaks are.
i recently found the Pamplemousse "gimme whatcha got" 12"...very nice. no cue for the break on that one though!
edwin birdsong - gold mine / phizz phizz has got all the differant sections cue marked
Puff - Body Rock (My Disc Records)
That Slyck 12" is DOPE!!!!
that's the one w/ the wolf howling, right?
Man I know I am dreging up old threads (Not Too Old mind you). But I am SERIOUSLY feeling another old Italo boogie track.
Passengers - Girls Cost Money
The begining drum break is
I love the Euro sounds SO much. They really took the blueprints of the emerging applications of electronics and ran with it.
