Hi - I thought I'd ask the experts, especially since there's been so many scams floating about. How do I increase my PayPal sending/spending limit (famous last words?!) - is the only way to do it through a bank account as it says on the site? Can I not just keep taking it off my credit card but bump up my limit? How?Please let me know if this has already been covered.Thank You.

  • Is it not safe?

They can freeze your account at any time they feel like it.

Not to mention you have no control over disputes, so they can (seemingly) arbitrarily hand out your money to anyone that claims they didn't get a product, etc.

  • Exactly. Well said.

Sure I understand that people occasionally get burned on chargebacks by unscrupulous buyers...However the other options when buying,(cash/cheque in mail, bidpay etc) give the buyer no protection at all.
So it's paypal all the way for me until someone comes up with a better system.

Even as a buyer , I have no complaints whatsoever. I'd do 60% of the business if it didn't exist. AN******#, I don't know how to help you. I got a number for them if you want to call.

from what I understand the chargeback issues are due to credit card co.'s ability to chargeback paypal. If I'm not mistaken this could be a problem with any online credit card transactions, no? And if yer selling on eBay cash/check only is going to fuck up yer prices in a bad way.
