    Promised Heights is by far the toughest Cymande LP to find clean... that cover has a tendency to tear or otherwise wear badly.

    is promised heights that much better than their other 2 records? I'm not a huge fan of those.

    It's pretty much the same sound on all three LP's. It's got "Brothers on the Slide" on it though. I don't know anyone who doesn't like that song.

    Some have been known to dismiss it as a "fake Curtis Mayfield song"...

    "Superpeople" by The Notations, that's a "fake Curtis Mayfield song". I think Cymande has a very original sound in all their music to begin with.

    Promised Heights is my fave of the 3 (at least this week) and I have never found a clean copy...I've actaully only pulled it twice and yes, the cover was demolished both times.



    Oh and I'll be in NYC bewteen X-Mas and New Years and will definatley be stopping by.

    come spend some money at the table at the record fair or slide through on sunday.

    HI I AM ACTUALLY OPEN TODAY DUE TO A BOONDOGGLE AT THE HORNSWAGGLE. COME HOLLER, I JUST MOVED ALL OF THE NEW ARRIVALS OUT (WHICH WERE ONLY A DAY OLD) TO MAKE ROOM FOR RECORD SHOW FINDS.
