    The name's on that impulse are OK however its never good when they force the remix aspects.

    Also madlib's rework of the galt mcdermot catalogue is good. (he's usually tributing Sun-Ra,McDermott,Axelrod and Roy Ayres throughout his work)

    I just got this promo in the mail but I haven't listened to it yet. It's hard to imagine I would look at this and then look at those orange spines on my shelves and choose to listen to the remix CD.

    I played the Dizzy Gillespie "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" rmx (disclaimer: it was a free promo 12" from Giant Step) at my lounge gig the other week and some 40-something woman came up and asked what it was, saying it was "amazing!" Not my thing, but just goes to show: different strokes.
