These any good? I remember passing on them and the live-LP a while back but not really why. Could??ve been lack of funds...

Yes, both are very good 70's fusion records. All the records he made in the 70's are worth picking up. The live LP (Montreux Boogie) is very good - it's a bit jazzier LP.

Yo, on the Jukka tip,... there's a nice off-beat-ish moogy spacefusion track on his Impressions LP Sonet 77 (rec 74) which I really like (the first half of...) called Northern Lights Pt 2/ Aurora Borealis Pt 2.

So, and now I`ll go back listening. Have a nice week, guys.
Triple- yeah BOM is from the east bay. the album is pretty good. ghetto radio is the only single to come off the album. not rare but not common. pops up from time to time.
jinx, i'll keep my eyes pilt for the LP. but i had/have another single by them somewhere, but it wasnt all that.
ace and action- letter to the better (early masta ace)
details? label? how does it differ from the I>take a look around/I> version?
its on Prism, the production is slightly different, notably no "keep on dancin" during the chorus
coup- fat cats bigger fishes (the rub joint)
the rub?
"the rub" as in george and gwen mcrae Together LP...the sample source
bigg ocean mobb-ghetto radio (theresa good interlude or postlude or something on this...415...frisco dudes?)
yeah, check out the lp I>wrangler tuff/I>, which has some serious bangers, khayree on the boards. anasarcasm reps this shit hard.
i'ma start looking for that LP
i dont find anything but hiphop anymore.
boo hoo... i seen what you pull on the regular, you can easily send it overseas and get whatever your little heart desires.
my heart is big not little. im not complaining...i just wouldnt mind catching the same ammount of those classic old 70s joints too!
from the week and week-end... but really didn't go at it too much this week, jazzfest is in full effect this weekend and ponderosa stomp early next... saw the original meters lineup yesterday and it was actually pretty good. gotta say too, whoever was playing bass w/ buddy guy was killing it with some fuzz effects, blew my ears out. The Roots did a live mash up type things for the 10 minutes I heard which I personally found to be thoroughly irritating.
Venezuelan garage band w/ dashes of fuzz guitar all over the place. Quite nice and I'm told is featured in one of the pakora books.
Great latin funk lp and getting tough to find.
Great version of Manny Corchado's "Pow Wow" and also another nice boogaloo tune.
Deep deep deep guaguanco's- killer stuff.
One of the greats- w/ a killer latin funk tune.
Research has shown that this guy not only is responsible for returning our beloved george w. back to the path of jesus but he also holds the guiness world record for longest walk bearing the cross. He's preaching here to his congregation which consists of hippies, burnouts, derelicts, addicts, etc. on the sunset strip. His band is reffered to as converted addicts. Weird shit.
Amazing recording of central african traditional music- recording quality makes some of this stuff sound electrified.
I didn't even know Fable was putting records out this late... yuck.
Stanton Davis' Ghetto Mysticism- Brighter Days - Outregeous
how is this? i've been meaning to buy ne off ebay. it looks so hot
if you dont want it holler at me
Mylatency: that Overton Berry is SHWEET. i like that one alot
The Stanton Davis record is absolute cosmic dynamite,... this is a killer joint, totally spaced out spiritual jazzfunk with vocals,....very dooooooooope!!!!
ar*: All of those look dope except... the jazzmanian devil is notoriously shite You can probably make some $ by selling it online just on the strength of the label tho.
KL: that tru tones cover is crazy.
I've been sick all weekend, so all I managed is some boring stuff. A sealed gwen mcrae - "rockin chair" LP.... uh.. I forget.
Did manage to score a certain ultra wantlist free jazz somethin somethin online. had to make some quick thinking moves but it's in the mail. I'm a little giddy about it.
