    man I 've never been there (i wish). i was on the phone trying to book a ticket with united to new york and the girl on the other line was there. lots of call centers over there. i suggest calling an 800 number and if the person on the other line is in mumbai you could ask for advice.

    Clubs?

    From what I could gather from the short time spent there, some of the better clubs are situated in hotels; you may be best in sizing up what's going on by picking up a copy of Time Out Mumbai (yes, that Time Out London/New York/etc.) - it was either a bimonthly or monthly edition and had just started up so can't guarantee if it's still up and running...

    Records - found it easier to hunt in Southern India (Kerala, Tamil Nadu) and West Bengal (Calcutta) than I did in either Mumbai or Delhi (I did stock up on some harder to find outside of the Subcontinent Rabindranath Tagore titles at the Borders-styled bookstore in Mumbai)... Best to ask around once you're there to get tips/leads...
