Luckily being cheap trumps buying (expensive) records, while the records trump walking. Girls can trump anything, but don't often enough. For better or worse, I am comfortable in my walking, being cheap (usually), and record buying around girls although all have annoyed girls I'm with before.

I only have a few Hawaiian shirts. Some people are crazy with the Hawaiian shirts! People pay hundreds for vintage silk joints. I know there are some serious Hawaiian shirt collectors! Next one I'm gonna get is one with the old primo beer logos all over it. Gotta have flannel shirts in Seattle people. It is almost flannel shirt season. It will be gray, rainy and overcast here every day until the spring.
i kinda go through phases, with records being a pretty constant the last 5 years or so. other than the records, i have started an obsession for plants. like watching them grow and stuff. we got some awesome snapdragons and jade plants on the front porch and i love em, and we just got a small tropical plant for inside. i wanna get more plants now and have a jungle inside. and on the porch and in the backyard and frontyard.
what do you know about hibiscus plants? do you know why i can never grow one succesfully?
haven't messed with hibiscus yet. if i do and have any success i'll let you know.
you want a pretty warm environment (60 - 90) and don't over water them in the winter, you'll get fungus growth.

Daaaam... you ain't playin', pimp! Those old school powder blue baseball jerseys are the schitt, mayne. You still wearin' them, though, right? I know a lot of dudes got into collecting jerseys just to be down with the fad, now they have thousands of dollars worth of M&N just collecting dust in the closet. Sheeeet... I can't really wear all of mine, just because I have too many, but I still wears 'em with pride, please believe that. If I get a minute I'll take some more pics.
And as far as the Hawaiian shirts go, oh how I wish I had an old school pic from the "hawaiian short set" era, back around the summer of 1986, for that "pictures" thread I posted last week. I actually got nabbed by the po po one time just because I fit the description of a "young black male with a box haircut and a hawaiian set". Foll, damn near EVERY young black male in Philly at that time was walking around with a box haircut and a Hawaiian set! Thank God the witness didn't finger me, she looked like she wasn't sure for a split second.... if she woulda just said "yeah, I think that's him" my ass woulda been locked down like a mug. Those Hawaiian shirts were the schitt, though (the young honies loved that look.... MAD play in the summer of '86).

Wish I had money to collect boomboxes. I only got one at a swap meet for 20 bucks and it made my day. Not many boomboxes show up at swap meets when I look for them and eBay prices on boomboxes are crazy high most of the time.
