  • paypal just changed my account status so i got charged to recieve money. i dunno why this happend

    err paypal charge YOU to RECIEVE money regardless of wether it came through ebay

    Yeah, they ain't running a business for charity!! You're paying for a service people. If you don't like it then don't accept paypal. But you might wonder why your records don't sell for very much... who wants to go to the post office a few times a week for some 15 or 20 dollar LPs?

    really? haha. im sure i never was never charged to recieve in the first little while..

  • I won a record and after the auction, the seller said the postage was $3 if I paid by cash or MO, and $11 if I paid by PayPal.

    I sent dude a MO, but is this a legit practice or should i have been able to point out those ebay rules to him?

    Why are transactions that include a surcharge on the buyer not eligible for the Seller Protection Policy?[/b]



    PayPal users are not permitted to impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as payment. For more information, please see Section V of the Payments (Sending, Receiving, Withdrawing) Policy in PayPal's User Agreement

    Personal Accounts may receive non-credit card funded payments for free.[/b]
