???)*soulstrut is actually the only forum i post on or check out, so i really can't attest to the "other boards drool" part. that said, i can't imagine another place with as much knowledge and entertainment frequently flowing forth from its contributors. peas.

I don't appreciate my super. He was supposed to kill the rats that appeared in our apartment a month ago, but I just had to nail a piece of wood over the hole that they came through when I saw one go in it. Plus the rats presumably only appeared because of some gross people who lived below us. When we complained about those people training their 2 dogs to only relieve themselves in the hall outside my apartment's door, the super suggested thinking up some "passive-aggressive ways to get back at them" but thought that him getting involved by doing something about it "wouldn't be a good idea". He did not explain why.
Say hommie, it is REALLY time for you to start looking for a new apartment!
Nah, its been 4 and a half years, and I like the place. Its fine as long as something big doesn't need fixed. A few dollars here and there on caulk or wood to fix the ladder to the (private) roof is easier than the hassle of dealing with the super.
I'm just appreciate being (life's a blessing, don't take it for granted). Here are some other people/things/events I appreciate:
-God (makes it all possible).
-My wife (my soulmate).
-My dog (she thinks she cute with her freshly groomed self).
-My family (made me the man I am).
-Subjective well-being (peace of mind is golden).
-My health and strength (good health is a blessing).
-Knowledge (it's power, ya'll!!!!).
-The gift of music (appreciate it, don't commoditize it).
-Reading (it can transform).
-Having a successful career (so far, anyway).
-Having a great year on the job (three in-press articles with two more on the way, and teaching ratings through the roof: "I'm firm but I'm fair).
-Tonight's selections ("Safe as Milk"-Captain Beefheart; "Stephen Stills 2").
-The Guinness Stout in my hand (Ahhhhhhh!!!!!).
-Cool Ranch Doritos (guilty pleasures?).
-Quaker Oatmeal Crunch cereal, brown sugar flavor (Ummmmmmmm!!!!!).
-Bistecca Pizziola from Rizzi's Restaurant (big up, Akron).
-Tuxedo cake from Sentry (I cheat sometimes, alright!!!).
