Aside from the Randy Newman OG and the Neviller cover, any others out there?

    and LA singer/pianist Marcia Ball did a version, too, although it won't hold up to the Neville version...

    i think the neville cover kills it. shit is goosebumps. omits the word cracker too on some, not my race, not my word shit which i thought was pretty kind. i heard randy newman on npr a couple weeks back and they asked him about it, he said his favorite version of his was the one he recorded with full orchestra, and that neville's was his favorite cover.

    It's not bad, but it really doesn't touch the Neville joint (who does on vocals?) or the Randy Newman. But I did discover the Old School Freight Train version that will be perfect for what I need it for. Thanks.
