Any theories? What message do the red telephones bring across? Any more examples?

u white kids need to stop labelling all 80s r&b boogie. its a subgenre that doesnt cover the entire era.
    its become a virus.

Even music inspired by the 80s boogie era seems to follow your rule!

Red looks good in photos compared to the drab tones of your regular office bashers.

Whenever I see someone using a red phone I assume they're calling a sex hotline.

Apart from color: Why all these telephones? I mean it was an pretty old technology. How does it embedd into the otherwise futuristic aesthetics used in that era?

  • Hey Disco Che.. maybe it had to do with the cold-war 80's red telephone "hot-line" aspect? Maybe the red telephone associated with presidential prestige or something to that affect.. I dunno..

This cover would be so much hotter with a red phone.
