The record nerd convention, I mean Justin and Bev's wedding, was beautiful to say the least. I had this ill moment where, after like three hours of playing priceless sweet soul records over dinner, which when you're playing out of a box the man himself put together special is as Johnny $$ put it "like autopilot," the boy Most came up and said "alright its time to kick it up a notch." I said yeah I'm feeling that, and looked out on the floor to see Justin covered in money with the biggest smile on his face I think I've ever seen. In that moment I could have just listened to that music for the rest of the night, just to see that man so happy, for real.
It was great putting faces to names and building with the outta towners. I got called out for playing bootlegs left and right, cmon peoples its all music! You know I got (some of) the OG goods! Derrick came through with the cha cha classics, thank God! G****e asked my girl, "You fuck with soulstrut?" She just looked at him funny.
Gorgeous ceremony and reception, what more can you say. T***a, that cover is SIK!
thanks for those cats that came to the wedding (or was a part of it).
thanks to those that gave me the shout here on the strut... very kind of all of you.
die! goes out to those that flossed pictures... embarrassing moments caught on camera... i knew it was a bad idea to allow cameras...
the wedding was fun... lots of good family and friends.
i dont feel like looking at the strut right now but i was told about the thread and wanted to reply.
i just wanted to say that you know you married into a filipino family when:
1. you start using new family terms like Tito, Tita, Manang, etc. 2. you wear (and now own) a Barong Filipino 3. family parties consist of beer for men and only MGD and San Miguel 4. whats salt and pepper? bagaong anyone? 5. table settings consist of fork and spoon... and you cut with the fork.
anyway... enjoy your day kids... i gotta go clean the house and roll a joint.
life is back to normal... except for this ring on my finger.
[color:white]BUT I HAVE THE KARAOKE FLICKS!!! MWAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
[color:white] AUDIO PLAESE!!!!!
Just imagine my sessy voice (you know it 'cause you save all the angry voicemails I leave you) ripping into "Sweet Dreams" and "Three Times A Lady" with reckless abandon.
