Oliver, what type of camera did you use for these?
It's a Nikon D70 - what used to be their entry level digital SLR (since replaced by the D50). All the pictures you see there are taken with a 1:1.8 85mm portrait lens. I really love this lens, I use it all the time because most of what I take are shots of people and the field of depth is ideal for that and the fact that it has such a large aperture means I can shoot in lower light situations. The only problem though is that if I'm too close up, I'll actually lose some detail because the field of depth is so fine. I also havre to be at least 2-3 feet away; you can't really do macro shots without having a baseline distance from the subject.
I should invest in a high-quality 35-80mm telephoto or something like that. I meant to post something asking about that on the site.
