I think I remember my bid was around the $450 mark but I was willing to keep it moving. But though thought of my wife coming home from work and seeing that chair sitting in the living room, damn.

"Cosmo, where did this big crazy looking chair come from?"
"I got it off of eBay for about 1K. Sorry sweetie I guess I should have run that by you first."

Chair would have been chilling in my crib but guaranteed I would be sleeping on someone's couch.

  • hey all,
just joined to let you know the chair has found a loving home

(my brother-in-law purchased this about 6-7 years ago when he was living in atlanta. the photo is of my daughter, Hazel, 10 months old)

As an aside, I always thought Eddie looked just a little too bourgie wearing a tuxedo in that original cover shot...

He should have rocked something more casual, ala Gil Scott-Heron.

As a kid i thought that too but he kinda rescues himself by including "contemporary" Afro-Americans on the back photo......

    Just now saw this.

Although I am amused at my (relatively) youthful exuberance, I'm kind-of humming on a "was I ever so young?" vibe right now.

    Plus: AA sighting.

    Bittersweet.
