I'm putting a bunch of my old Sade blends together single mix and want to come up with an intro for the whole thing, but I'm having trouble coming up with any references to Sade or her songs.I'm really stumped. I know plenty of rappers must have given her propers in their lyrics over the years but for some reason I can't think of ANY.WTF?Help!!

there are at least 3 different sade mix cd projects out. 1 is all house remixes. not to mention the endless remix / reedit 12s and the two (or is it 3) remix comps -- those downtempo remixes and house remixes. i'd say its ground that has been prety well covered.
Hah, I wasn't referring to anyone with my comment. Just saying: that's the easiest way to refresh one's memory in such a situation.
KRS-One's "Wannabeemceez" or however the fuck it's spelled: "Ricochet any style any day / any which way and you'll Cherish the Day like Sade."
Those house mixes are pretty minimal though (are they even in mixtape format?), I'm thinking more layers, blends and cutting in a hip-hop format I guess.
O.K., it's all good. I misread it.
of the 3 real mix projects i know of, the house mix is just a bunch of the house reedit 12s and recent remixes all blended. the other 2 are done in a more hip hop mix tape format although both make heavy use of the tracks that were issued on the sade downtempo remix comp. lots of blends and layers, light on the cuts. neither were done by djs moving large #s of mixtapes, but i still think its well covered ground to people who would be checking for that kind of stuff.
i'm huge sade fan so this isn't meant to discourage you from doing it. just do it well (as i am sure you would) -- lots of people making money off booting sade one way or another and most of it just cheapens how good the og shit really is.
"damn girl you don't got a forehead, you got a eighthead, ...you got one of them Sade foreheads"
